  1. ClickAssignments in the left menu,
  2. Clickthe assignment you want to assess.
  3. Scrolldown to come to the student list.
  4. Check the student’s Status, you can only make an assessment if the student has theSubmitted status
  • Not started – The student has not opened the assignment yet.
  • Started – The student has opened the assignment.
  • Submitted – The student has submitted the assignment.
  • Incomplete – Make it clear to the student that they have not passed the assignment. This status is visible to students even if the assessment is not published.
  • Can be developed – Make it visible to the student that they have passed but can achieve a higher result. This status is visible to students even if the assessment is not published.
  1. If the student does not have the StatusSubmitted,you can change this by clicking in the box where the status is specified and change to Submitted. 
  2. To make your assessment;
  • A) Click the Assess button You will not see the student’s document, but you will see the learning goals and feedback box
  • B) Click the View files button You will see the student’s documents, learning goals and feedback box. In this guide, this option is chosen.

 

  1. You come into the student’s file area. The student’s document is embedded directly in the page. If the student has submitted multiple documents, you can navigate between them in the document list under Details.
  2. Click Assessment to start the assessment.
  3. You can assess the student using the following options. You choose whether you want to use all the options or just one of them.
  • A) Edit documents – you can edit the student’s documents and add comments in the student’s submission
  • B) Learning Goals – select the level the student has passed next to each learning goal
  • C) Feedback – provide overall feedback on the student’s submission.

 

  1. ClickSave Assessment after you have made your assessment
  2. If you plan toassess more students,you can navigate on to the next student using the arrows in the top right corner.
  3. Clickthe Arrow next to the assignment name to return to the assignment page when you have finished your assessments.
  4. In the Assessment status category, the student has now been assigned the Assessment started status.
  5. Various options under the Assessment status;
  • A) Assessment started – You have started an assessment that is not published for the student.
  • B) Assessment published – You are finished with your assessment and it is published for the student.
  • C) Assessment not published – You are finished with your assessment but it is not published for the student. 
  1. To publish an assessment for a student:
  • A) Change status from Assessment started to Assessment published.
  • B) If you want to publish all assessments at the same time, you can go to the bottom of the student list and click Publish Assessments. All assessments that have been made are then published.
  1. If the student is to continue to work on the assignment. Change student statusfrom Submittedto Can be developed.
  2. The student sees their assessments if they go into the assignment and they also see the assessment in their Development Overview.
